    Cloud Solutions Engineer

    Worked as an AWS Solutions Engineer on a large Cloud Acceleration Program and as a technical lead on a large SAP integration program on AWS. All AWS deployments/provisioning of cloud services were automated via Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines.

    • Deployment and management of multi-account CIS compliant AWS landing zone via Terraform (all AWS deployments noted below are deployed via Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines).
    • Design and implementation of AWS Transit s including integration with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) via Direct Connect Gateway to allow multi and hybrid cloud connectivity.
    • Design and implementation of numerous VPC peers with 3rd parties to allow internal network integration and optimum paths for low latency routing.
    • Migration of 200+ on-prem workloads to AWS via CloudEndure (automated via Ansible and Azure DevOps pipeline).
    • Creation of Azure DevOps pipelines for deploying Terraform projects and Ansible playbooks/roles against our AWS infrastructure and workloads (EC2, RDS, R53, ALB’s, SSM, ACM, CloudFront, S3, Lambda etc).
    • Event-driven reporting via AWS Lambda functions (PowerShell).
    • Observability data enrichment via AWS Lambda functions (PowerShell and Python) for ingesting logs into Datadog.
    • AWS cost savings identification, design, and implementation of solutions (e.g. Design and deployment of shared R53 resolvers between accounts, VPC Endpoints etc).
    • Azure Site Recovery (ASR) migrations from on-premises and design and integration of Azure environment with AWS.
    • Azure Automation scripting (PowerShell).
    • Scripted the automation of multi-site on-prem DR for 400+ virtual machines via PowerShell.
    • Reverse engineered CloudFormation stacks into Terraform deployments to provide IaC consistency.
    • Cloud services team technical lead secondment to provide guidance and mentor others in my team.
